Jarrilada was founded in 2017. From the start we knew that in order to stand out in the market, we needed to introduce a product that was familiar while at the same time unique. With that in mind, we combined a convenient way to prepare micheladas with clay cups from Mexico. We have an appreciation for the rich history of cantaritos. Particularly because of their artisanal roots. We think there’s something special in extracting the clay from Earth, adding water to make it flexible, and solidifying it with flames. Just like clay can be molded into a variety of crafts, we were inspired to mold our company into one that is committed to building a community and providing it with value.
From that point we worked out our first design to serve as our packaging, and we were off to make our first sales! Being based in Arcadia California, we initially began visiting local liquor stores to offer our cups. It wasn’t all easy being accepted into the majority of stores. But over time, we picked up enough momentum to keep going. Fast forward to 2020, a year unlike any other for all of us, we were fortunate enough to find a silver lining. For the first time we were accepted into our first major retailer. That is Superior Grocers. Soon after we also began working with Northgate Gonzalez supermarkets as well. We were beyond excited for the opportunity and can’t thank the stores as well as customers enough for their support.
Today we are looking towards continually evolving. As mentioned earlier, we want to ensure that we provide our community with the value that each of you deserve. We recognize that in order to do that we must listen and adapt as best as possible. One of the ways we want to build our community is by communicating through our social media platforms.
